Outfit: Tank and Floral Pants

Greetings Fashionistas,

Happy Friday. I just landed in Miami for my friend's wedding so this post will be short and sweet. I'm still rocking flats :-( But soon I will hopefully be back on my 6-inch stilts, lol. I bought these floral pants about a week ago and I couldn't wait to wear them. I love the relaxed, but slim fit.Never thought I would be a floral girl but I'm loving these prints.....whether winter or spring inspired.

Outfit: Neon Button Down and Distressed Denim

Greetings Fashion Friends,

If my outfit's sunny disposition threatens to blind you all.....my apologies ;-) I love this neon top. It's silky, cool, and bright as heck! I'm a total beacon in this top, lol. It was a casual day walking in the park with my hunni (and I totally left the clutch in the car by the way).

These jeans are really comfortable. They're supposed to be "skinny fit" but as you can see the mostly mimic the "stovepipe fit". It's cool, the relaxed fit was more appropriate for my lazy day.

The color combinations reminds me of a reptile. Scary beautiful.

Outfit: Turtles and Skater Skirt

Greetings Fashion Pad Readers,

Welcome back from the weekend! I hope you all enjoyed time with your moms and/or women who have made an impact in your life. For those of you whose moms are looking over you from the comfort of God's dwelling place.....you are loved.

I spent the day with my family on Sunday. However, the pictures posted below are from last Sunday afternoon before I headed to the movies to see Iron Man 3. The pictures are from my Droid and are in fact. grainy and in my opinion, totally disrespectful......I will do better ;-)

Did I share with you all the fact that I am a HUGE old school cartoon fan? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are one of my favorites and this shirt is going to become vintage even to me.....I refuse to let it go!

Pairing my graphic tank with this skater skirt uplifts a casual tee and dresses down my skirt. The gold accessories and red lip are the added fab factors.

Outfit: Spikes, Fringe, and Leather

Greetings Fashionistas,

Happy Friday! To all you fabulous mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and sisters who take care of a child/young adult.....HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!! Your love and dedication contributes considerably to the growth and well-being of our future generations. You magnificent women ROCK and I salute you all!

I have a quick post to share with you all. I went shopping with my lovely mother and she made sure I pulled out my flats, lol. My mom says she respects our independence but in the end we still are her babies. Oh well, I'm loved!

My little nephew took my photos this time around. After he complained for a hot little minute, he proceeded to become the next Nigel Barker.......hilarious!

I love every single item I'm wearing....seriously. the denim vest has a subtle row of spikes at the shoulder, the leather shorts are unbelievably soft and the roomy leg accommodates my curvy frame fabulously. My accessories are my usual edgy style and the gladiators are always on heavy rotation in the summer.

This handbag is everything! Next, I plan to pair it with a maxi dress or skirt for a chic boho look.

Outfit: Snapback and Combat

Greetings Fashion Friends,

Everyone keeps pointing out how short I am literally every where I go, lol. I guess I had forgotten as well! As I continue to get creative with my styling to incorporate my slight aversion to flats (they're cute but I'm vertically challenged so we don't hang out a lot) I'm slowly sliding into the "resignation" phase. With this look below, I pulled out a snapback, my new cutout mini, and combat boots. Edgy much?

I toughened up this garment by adding a snapback hat, spiked accessories, and combat boots. The boots shortened the length of my legs but I really didn't care. I was going for edgy not elongated.

I still covet cutouts. They infuse just the right amount of skin....not too revealing or raunchy.

Outfit: Flat Sunday

Greetings Fashion Pad Readers,

Happy Monday....I guess, lol. I don't have much to say folks, I think I have the Monday blues. I just wanted to share my Sunday church outfit with you all. I took about an hour to get dressed....maybe 57 minutes of that was actually finding a look that would accommodate my heel-less days to come. I am so disappointed in myself. A style challenge such as this should not stump me. But goodness! It's like I don't know what I'm doing anymore. Pardon me, I'm about that drama today.....let's just blame it on a super fun weekend that ended in the abrupt realization that it's over, lol.

I bought these flats a couple of weeks ago for work.....didn't realize I would be using them outside of work for therapeutic relief. SMH I decided to go with a matchy look. Up close, these flats and this dress are two different hues.....but from afar, and in photos, they appear to match my dress perfectly ;-)

Now that I'm looking at them closely again.....they remind me of Christmas a little.

The back of this dress has a cutout design so the blazer was a must because I would never walk in church like that.It was quite breezy yesterday morning so I welcomed the extra layer happily.

Temporary Halt on Heels - Doctor's Order

Greetings Fashionistas,

Soooo.....as my title suggests, I have to stop wearing heels for 2 weeks!!! Oh my soul! Okay, his mandate is substantiated  About a month ago I injured my ankle. Not sure exactly when, but I definitely felt it after my Zumba class one night. I thought I was okay after a while but then I started o feel pain at night and simply when walking. Not a good look! After a night of throbbing pain I finally called my doctor. But what a monumental mistake, lol. He told me no more heels (pass out the Kleenex tissue please) and no Zumba or any forms of rigorous exercise. I'm going to have to cut back on my calories..........way back.

Because I'm banned from heels....starting today, lol......I overdressed for a simple sushi dinner with the boo. Hot mess, I know, but I'm a little passionate about my heels ;-) It was raining cats, dogs, giraffes, and elephants so I had to switch shoes.

I decided to wear a lower heel when I went out but admittedly it was still pretty high.....sue me.
